Everything parents need to know before their child’s first class
Your Child's First Session
Your child will be joining a regular Krav Maga Systems kids class.
There is no separate info session — children train from day one in a structured, instructor-led environment.
The focus of the first session is to:
- Help your child feel comfortable and included
- Introduce class structure and expectations
- Build confidence through simple, guided activities
- No previous experience is required.
What Our Kids Program Focuses On
- Awareness, confidence, and personal safety
- Basic self-defence concepts in an age-appropriate way
- Listening skills, focus, and discipline
- Physical coordination and movement
- Respect for instructors and training partners
- Training is not for competition and focused on real-world self-defence skills
What to wear & bring
- Comfortable training clothes (t-shirt, shorts or track pants)
- Water bottle
- No gear is required for your child’s first session
Arriving to Class
- Please arrive 5–10 minutes early
- Introduce your child to the instructor
- Parents are welcome to observe quietly from the side
- Our instructors will guide children through every activity.
After Your Child’s First Class
After the session, you can decide whether your child would like to continue.
There is no pressure to enrol on the day.
If you choose to continue:
- We’ll explain membership options clearly
- We’ll assist with required training gear
- Your child will continue progressing within the program
pricing overviw/Program fees
$22.50 per week
Annual Training & Support Fee:
- Covers grading, reporting, development tracking, school holiday programs, and administration
- Normally $100 per year
- Currently waived for the first 6 months
Training gear
Full Gear Pack – $125 includes:
- Boxing gloves
- Shin guards
- Mouth guard
- Student t-shirt
- Belt (only for students at Marsden Park)
- Groin guard (boys)
Gear can be organised after your child’s intro session.

Your child does not need to “be tough” or experienced to begin training.
They just need to show up — we’ll take care of the rest.
